Arava

Arava Center for Sustainable Development (ACSD) is part of the Arava Institute for Environmental Studies in Kibbutz Ketura, Israel. ACSD is a partnership of three research and academic institutions located in the Southern Arava region of Israel. Individually, these institutions conduct critical research in water resources management, sustainable agriculture, agriculture in desert conditions and renewable energy, with an emphasis on arid land ecosystems. ACSD was established to facilitate the dissemination of this expertise to developing communities facing environmental and technological challenges.

 MSCPA

MCSPA – The Missiorary of St. Paul the Apostle is a public association of Christian faithful of the Catholic Church, comprised of priests and lay people from across the world. Working in remote areas among fragile communities, MSCPA strives to relieve poverty and hardship, uniting spiritual and practical goals. MCSPA members are committed to maintain a permanent presence in the communities they serve. Their activities in Turkana include developing water, agricultural, health and education infrastructures.

The Nagenda International Academy of Art and Design (NIAAD) was founded in 2003 by Dr. Kizito Maria Kasule as a self-sustaining institution where Ugandan youth  hone their creative and entrepreneurial skills. The NIAAD’s location on the edge of Lake Victoria, provides a lush backdrop for students, instructors and volunteers to be inspired and promote local arts and craft techniques as well as to learn cutting edge design technology.

Topaz is a non-profit, non sectarian voluntary association led by a team of Israeli social entrepreneurs  formulating and nurture innovative and creative social ventures in a supportive and creative environment, thus contributing to the growth and sustainability of the Israeli society. Topaz drives large-scale change by identifying, investing in, connecting and supporting social entrepreneurs and other innovators dedicated to solving some of Israel’s most pressing problems, by cultivating social businesses initiatives that together with nosiness know-how maximize social outputs.

Our Mission is to instill artists with the tools needed to translate their talent into measurable impact to the world’s most pressing social challenges. By establishing an international academy training artists to be activists and social entrepreneurs that will strive to lead change with art.
