In 2008, Brit Olam and the Humanitarian Fund of the Kibbutz Movement founded the non-profit Natan – The Israeli Coalition for Disaster Relief in partnership with other Israeli relief organizations. This coalition combines the best of Israeli expertise in humanitarian aid by coordinating inter-organizational activities and raising public and governmental awareness in Israel. Natan focuses its activities during the Rescue and Relief phase of a major disaster by providing life preserving, medical and psychological aid. Since its formation, Natan has dispatched dozens of delegations to Georgia and Haiti. Natan recruits and trains volunteer teams to deal with emergency missions and community recovery.

As of June 2013 Natan operates as an active unit of Brit Olam.
