Brit Olam's Student Delegation to Uganda - Final Lap

Brit Olam and Haifa University Student Union joined hands a few months ago to start working on a delegation to Uganda. The delegation will set out in Two weeks, to visit humanitarin projects and celebrate Passover with the Ugandan Jewish Community - The Abayudaya.

Kziv River, Israel

In 11:00 a.m. friday morning, we've started to make our way down to the river. In front of us stood the 12th century crusader's fort "Monfort" watching over us as it did for many travelers over the centuries.

We've Travelled down to the water to a point where we recieved some information about the Monfort from one of the group members. Then we went upstream and enjoyed the sound of running water, the beauty of the flowers and birds, the shared experience.

The trip to Kziv River (Northern Galilee) was just a part of the training and preparation that the 10 students attending the delegation have gone through in the past 3 months.

The students were introduced to different humanitarian projects, to the history and culture of Uganda and to issues of Human Rights and equility. Between meetings the students have worked to harness companies and organisation to support the delegation.
